You know your day’s going to go well...

..... when some of the first things you see in the morning are:

A pigeon struggling to keep its balance on a wire that’s being crazily buffeted by the wind and then falling off spectacularly while managing a couple of somersaults in the air before resignedly flying away. And...

A camel running behind a cart and picking up a spare used tyre lying on it with its teeth and chomping away, then making sure to drop it back on the cart after it’s tired of it, actually running after the cart to make sure it lands there.

:D

Not fair, you give the pigeon a label but the poor old camel after amusing you early in the morning, runs after a cart to make sure the chomped up tyre falls exactly where it should have the pigeon gets the label and the camel does not. I protest on behalf of the camel

Seems like you did have a good day, or else fretting over bad days leaves one with no time to witness small joys like this one :)
P.S: You vanished, have some news for you.

@Hoverer- So I'll be seeing you in court then? You representing the population of camels? :P and yes not a bad day :)

@SIM- Absolutely. And a testament to the fact that one should always have your head stuck out of the vehicle you're traveling in. Makes it a lot more fun :)
You know where to find me :)

@Anon- Camels in hyderabad?? :O No I'm studying in Jodhpur, originally from Bombay. Why? And why are you anonymous??

I cudnt understand what a camel is doind behind a cart
What unusual things occur in Jodhpur
I like to hear such stuff in a rustic lingo..hence I wrote that way :)

Divya said...

Well I am in Jodhpur after all... it was 2 camel carts in a row. the 2nd camel got hungry and bored i guess...

the hoverer said...

well.... just out of curiosity what was the first camel doing that was so interesting that it dint get bored... i get the feeling it shud be something amusing

Divya said...

Oh it was just ambling along, mildly chewing the cud... Unaware of its restless friend behind it... Like i get sudden cravings for chocolate and pizza, maybe the 2nd one got a craving for rubber (with carbon fibre of course- hail banerjee)

arre yaar...poore joke pe pani pher diya (literally - u spread water over the entire joke, in short u spoilt the fun)

so the camel was behind another camel cart and had a cart of its own :x

Yes'day i was smiling the whole while thinking of the camel behind a cart chomping on the tyre... i mean what a dumb camel..but I find this camel's dumbness rather endearing. It was also fun imagining how the cart wud run if the camel were behind the cart.

voix ur hindi that bad ??

Divya said...

@Histriophile- How did i spoil the joke at all?! But very endearing.. subah subah very amusing too

@Hoverer- Grrr.. FIST!
