Think

There was a time
When the thoughts would not stop;
Tormenting body, mind and soul.
People wished it wasn't so.

Now things have changed
And peace prevails.
Then why do they wish
For it to return?

yay! finally :)

ok now the reply.. cz we are dissatisfied.. we choose to stay so.. ew can't stand the existin situation somehw.. we want a change always.. but we still detest change.. this confusion cz we are lost really.. chasing wrong things.. not knowing what 2 want exactly

er...coz we are never happy with what we get in life. something like "the grass is always greener on the other side". See, dats the irony of life! First we dont know what we want, and when we get it, we want it no more :P

wow! is it the season of writing 'abstract prose' ??? u, brick.. all n the same boat, with different directions to row.

good one here...alas m still stuck on the 1st stanza...and i wonder if i ever promote to the next one i'll miss ol times.

really good. neat.

y do we think? thats a complicated question. y would we long to think again? maybe if we are able to find an answer to the first question we can just say, "corollary!" :)

@Brick and Abhu- The green grass theory as such...its true absolutely... people want something but when they get it, new problems come up. We are determined to de unsatisfed in life. Maybe thats what promotes continuity of life or progress or whatever.. Just it can get hell annoying at times..

@Divita- You got it down pat.. abstract prose... Not so much poem like Brick told me... Oh and we always in the same boat.. I try to push him out all the time ya but he keeps following only :P
And thank u :D

I am sensing a 'context' that is missin in these lines...; a series of thoughts that had its battle inside you after which came out a spout of consolidating lines with its begining and end faded..

...or is that an intentional vacuum you left for readers to fill...?

When the 'there' is 'here', we move still (ah! that's nice... 'move still' - to move.. and to be still...) we move still in pursuit of the 'there' somewhere...

...if that make any sense!!!

i think as humans we enjoy being in a quandary specially the ones involving abstruse choices. makes us more sentient and more human i guess...

id ont know whether reiteration works.. but here i go... Think we must for what else do we do... impulse only lands up in trouble, that is how the world goes... and yaa not to forget the world always changes us to see what it wants to see... its upto you whether you want to continue being a stubborn ass :)

@Raghu- yeah but it can be a pain in the ass you know...

@Wordsmith- Well yeah.. :) and the vacuum was sort of intentional for you to fill urself and also cos i jus dint wanna make it public as such :P

@Paritosh- Well a lot of us are bent upon makin life hell complicated :S

@Swayam- No ya.. how can impulse always land up in trouble? Sometimes it can lead to awesome results!! oh and stubborn ass apart... the thinking i meant was tormenting urself with thoughts u reely dont need to think about!

@Anon- Umm... well that was short and sweet :P
