No harm in trying...

A wanted something. A wanted B to want it too. A tried convincing B that she could do it if only she tried. B was scared. A sat for hours and convinced B that she had nothing to lose, that she could do it if she believed in herself, that if they happened to succeed, they would have a gala time and if not, there would have been the attempt itself, that losing did not matter, that making a fool of yourself did not matter, that B was more than she thought she was. A put in a lot of time, a lot of effort; just for B..

B got through. A did not.

Unfair?

Guilt.

It's choice--not chance--that determines one's destiny. and it was A's choice to help B to get through..I believe it should be satisfaction for A..i know his/her own wish could not come true but thr can be no more satisafaction than the happiness of your loved ones.. :)

Well thats not the whole story...and i think the reader should have the whole perspective in order to criticize the actions of B. B got through A dint, and then B proposes to forfeit the getting through if it was possible for A to get through, fortunately there was no way that could happen and so now both A and B are happy, but i request all commenter's to reprimand B for the actions and utter stupidity and ridiculousness of the idea.
