Look...

Look at your palm… All the lines criss-crossing.. so many… They’re all there for a reason, each one of them.. Each line has its purpose,.. to help to close the palm, form a fist, wiggle the finger, et al… No particular reason for saying all this except that I just noticed this recently.. that these are not just a random network present but actually have a purpose.. Which leads me to say that there are so many small things in life which we fail to notice and/or take for granted.. The beauty and utility lies in the details and we don’t always perceive them, do we?

Disclaimer- I am not interested, neither do I believe, in palmistry or the like, so that’s not what this is about (as some people who I mentioned this to inferred)!! :)

That's enough Sanskrit for one day!! While on the topic of human appendages, here's something few would have noticed - look at your index finger (or any other finger for that matter), notice how the length of the first digit is twice the length of the nail, the length of the second digit is thrice the length of the nail, the length of the third digit is five times the length of the nail. Similar ratios can be seen in other parts of the body; much of nature seems to be based on a pattern (Google the term Golden Proportion).
Look around you and think for a moment - nothing ever happens by coincidence here; there's always a pattern. But my point is, there's much we don't understand in this world, so there's no need to be dismissive or defensive about things we can't get our arms around.. like palmistry for instance.. What say, Divi? :-)

its like they say, u never know what uve got until its gone... i realized this a couple of years back... it pains when u realize something that u had, that was such an integral part of ur life that u almost thought its ur birthright to have it, is gone... its like ur mother's love, u know its there, but u hardly know what it actually is...

Sneha.. all true, do agree...

Hey annon.. Did not exactly know that about our appendages.. interesting.. Did know about Golden Proportion though(thank you Dan Brown!).. Admittedly we don't understand everything in the world.. If we did, there would be amazingly organised chaos i feel:)!! And i wasn't being defensive, I was just clarifying.. It's different that I really don't believe in that stuff but hey.. that's me!
P.S- You're Anil, right? Would be lovely if you went by your name from now on.. :)

Forests, lakes, and rivers, clouds and winds, stars and flowers, stupendous glaciers and crystal snowflakes - every form of animate or inanimate existence, leaves its impress upon the soul of man.
